This free phone advice service is for prisoners of Rimutaka and their family members.
This phone number is generally answered by a staff member but if you get an answering machine, please leave a clear message with your name, unit number, and suggestions of good times to call you.
We can help prisoners sort out the legal issues you've left outside the gate. For example, we can give family law advice, or we can help with your tenancy or debt dispute.
Family members of Rimutaka prisoners can also call this number if they need help understanding prison law and the options their son or partner in prison has.

We provide legal education on a wide range of topics and we run sessions from our offices and from other venues in the community. Search our education calendar here to find a public education session that interests you.
We also organise 'private' education (not open to the public) for rōpū Māori, community groups, schools, alternative education providers and others. If your group is interested in getting educated, contact us directly.
